
The EPFL CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros has recently visited the Italian Lega Pro. The meeting was attended by the highest Executives of the Florence based league, including President Mario Macalli, Vice-Presidents Salvatore Lombardo and Archimede Pitrolo as well as Francesco Ghirelli and Sergio Capograssi, recently named General Manager and General Secretary respectively. On the occasion, the two organizations had the opportunity to share and identify common projects and focused the attention on the role of Lega Pro in the European context.

"Lega Pro brings together the heritage as well as the history, culture and tradition of Italian cities" said President Macalli."
"It was a fruitful meeting. Despite the EPFL does not have specific competence in organizing tournaments, we have stressed our willingness to allow international tournaments which would represent an important stage for our young players. Our recent European Competition Project has at its basis the development of youth programmess and development" concluded Macalli.
