For the second consecutive year, the “Trophée des Champions”, the trophy disputed by the winner of French Ligue 1 and the Winner of the French National Cup, will be played in a foreign country. After North-America, Montréal 2009, the LFP chose to organize the first match of season 2010/2011 in Tunisia, in July 2010. In the end of March a delegation of the LFP, was received by the President of the Ligue Nationale du Football Professionnel Tunisien, Mr. Ali Hafsi, to finalize the conditions for the organization of the match.
The “Trophé des Champions 2010” will take place in Stade Olympique d’El Menzah in Tunis (Capital city of Tunisia), between the 27 and 30 July 2010. The final date of the match will be fixed soon.
This game will represent a new opportunity to promote French professional football abroad, particularly in Africa and in the Arab world.
