At the AGM, Ralph Topping was elected for the second time as Chairman of the Scottish Premier League. Eric Riley of Celtic FC and Stewart Robertson of Motherwell FC were also elected following their nominations to form part of the six-man Board of Directors.
Ralph, Eric, Stewart, and the Chief Executive, Neil Doncaster, will be joined by Rod Petrie (Hibernian FC) and Stewart Gilmour (St Mirren FC) who were all re-elected by the clubs to complete the SPL Board.
Duncan Fraser (Aberdeen FC) and Martin Bain (Rangers FC) stepped down from the Board today after 18 months’ and two years’ service respectively.
Ralph Topping, Chairman, said: “On behalf of the Board and the Clubs I would like to thank Duncan and Martin for their time and valued input during their terms.
“It’s been a challenging year for Scottish football. But with our strategic review of the league underway, the SPL is actively looking to respond to those challenges in the season ahead.”
