History

"The LFP is the leading organizer of performing life events in France with about 800 matches, 11 million spectators, more than 165 million viewers per season and 1000 professional players under contract. The LCS performs a public service mission. Its mission is to organize, manage and regulate professional football: • PSL organizes and manages the League 1 and League 2 and all other events that would have created,
within the limits of its powers; • PSL acts, by various means in order to be trained methodically in training centres
its clubs, future professional footballers, • LFP elite group of footballers in its member clubs, • LFP assistance in the training of educators in compliance with the prerogatives of the FFF, • LFP makes players professionals are made available to the FFF at international meetings to prepare a good representation of France. It also funds all operations or any actions likely to develop the resources of professional football in order to ensure promotion; enforces sanctions imposed by its bodies vis-à-vis sports clubs members and its licensees and any other person bound by these statutes and ensure the defence of moral and material interests of professional football. "
