History
The SEF is the association of the Allsvenskan and Superettan. The Allsvenskan consists of 14 Clubs and is the highest league, established in 1924. The Superettan (The Super One) is the second highest league and consists of 16 Clubs, and was established in 2000. The top two teams in the Superettan are promoted to the Allsvenskan to replace the bottom two of the Allsvenskan who are relegated. The third place in the Superettan play off against the third from bottom of the Allsvenskan in a promotion / relegation decider. The SEF's mission is to be a leader in the development of elitfotboll club on gamely, economic, commercial and administrative fronts.
