President Message
Dear Friends of Football, by this short address I would like to make an appeal to you - let us keep alive the romantic of our beloved game. The football is an universal language giving people of different race, culture and religion the rare chance of free communication. Football has been transformed into an important business during the recent years but let us not forget that its major philosophy has been to bring people together and to create friendship. Therefore let us preserve the genuine values of the football, let us protect it from huligan and racial violence, non-regulated bookmakers' bets and the ever growing commercial attitude.

History
The Bulgarian Professional Football League (BPFL) was established in 1991. It carries out activity in public benefit for the development of the professional football and raising its level in the Republic of Bulgaria as a part of the national system for physical culture. It unites the football clubs from the professional leagues, represents the interests of their members before Bulgarian Football Union (BFU), organizes and manages the state football Championships, the Cup and the Super cup of Bulgaria with a decision of the Executive committee of BFU under the conditions and the order, specified in the internal acts of BFU for state championships, supports the football clubs in their licensing. Its representatives participate in the constant committees of BFU. The League supports many and different activities, as till the moment a particular stress is laid on the work with child–adolescent schools. For this purpose it ensures equipments, sponsors and helps in the organization of the child’s tournaments in the country. Serious attention is paid to the work with football hooliganism, a theme that is of interest in the whole world. The present President of BPFL is one of the founders of the “National Football Veterans Society” and for the fund raising for them he has organized charity auctions in five consequent years from which are gathered over EUR 300 000.
