EPFL Sports Law Bulletin 01The Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL) has launched its Sports Law Bulletin.

Representing a new and positive initiative to respond to the growing needs of its 28 Member Leagues and 932 affiliated clubs, the EPFL Sports Law Bulletin offers a new and relevant source of information, on a wide range of issues of practical interest, in order to assist the football executives and decision-makers to better deal with the mounting challenges facing day-to-day Professional Football at the national and international level.

The primary objective of the EPFL Sports Law Bulletin is to keep the football and legal community updated, on a bi-monthly basis, on recent developments in the Professional Football sector. This will include the most recent laws and regulations enacted or amended by the relevant authorities, as well as pertinent legal decisions and awards rendered by the European and/or national courts, arbitration tribunals and jurisdictional sport bodies.

In this first edition, particular focus is given to the launch of the European Social Dialogue in the Professional Football sector and to the changes in French football regulations regarding issues of international concern, such as youth development and protection of training clubs. An updated summary of the latest jurisprudence related to Professional Football and, in particular, on matters involving contractual stability, EU nationality issues and release of players to national teams are also available, amongst other useful information.
