For the first time in history, two clubs from Ligue 1, FC Lorient and AS Nacy-Lorraine, decided to use the synthetic grass from the beginning of season 2010-2011. Out of 38 matches, 10 % will be played in this news surface. This mini-revolution is the outcome of mentality adjustment, resulting from the great progress registered in this domain.
Both clubs support the idea that this solution will sustain the conditions for the practice of good quality football, helping overpass the rigorous climate affecting France each winter.
