Lega Calcio “Serie B” Assembly met on 17 February 2010 to fix the play-off and play-out match-dates that will be eventually played at the end of the current season. Play-off semifinals will take place on 2 and 6 June, while the finals will be played on 9 and 13 June. Play-out matches will be on 4 and 12 June.
During the meeting, the Assembly established that 22 August 2010 and 29 May 2011 will be respectively the new calendar start date and the final match-date for the next football season.
Within the same context, in order to guarantee a more fair running of the calendar and to greet media and fans, the Assembly decided to avoid any possible match-date postponement in case of players called by the respective national teams.
Furthermore, the Assembly supported the ongoing process of the re-organization of the new Serie B, which will be separated from Serie A, as per structure presented and approved by the top division’s Assembly during last week.
