Rome, 05 May 2010 - A sold out Olympic Stadium hosted the final act of the TIM (sponsor) Italian Cup.
FC Internazionale won its first title of the season with the result of 1- 0 against the season's rivals AS Roma.
Invited by the President of the Italian Lega Calcio, Maurizio Beretta, the EPFL CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros attended the match. The EPFL CEO seized the occasion to meet with the Italian League executives and address several issues currently facing Professional Football, both at national and international level.
A working meeting with FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) was also part of the EPFL CEO agenda. FAO and EPFL have signed a cooperation agreement in July 2008 and are now preparing a new series of impacting initiatives within the scope of the fight against hunger worldwide, which will be publicly announced on 11 May 2010.
