French LFP - Four Clubs were compensated by the “Fondation du Footbal”

AJ Auxerre, Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse FC received the special Trophies from the  “Fondation du Football”.

The second edition of the Trophies from the Fondation de Football, took place on Saturday, 1 May 2010, in the occasion of the Final of the French Cup. For the first time, the ceremony, compensated the professional clubs by announcing the civic actions developed  by the clubs from Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 towards the amateur world.

AJ Auxerre, Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse Football Club received the Special Award Throphies from the “Fondation du Football” for their remarkable and original investment in the establishment of social or civic activities.

In every home match, AJ Auxerre invites around 1200 licensed footballers with less than 16 years old, from 300 amateur clubs on the Auxerre surroundings, to benefit from seats with very reduced fares (3 € / person) to attend the match and participate in all the actions involved in it. This licensed kids are engaged to respect the rules of the Chart of Good Conduct defined by the club.

Olympique Lyonnais, through its Foundation, has implemented a comprehensive programme for first aid training, which was sent to 1500 clubs of the Ligue Rhône Alpes.

Paris Saint-Germain, also through its Foundation, established a training programme (Diploma) for young adults without qualifications, in difficulties to find a job. After 2000, the PSG Foundation, as already successfully graduated 60 youngsters ready to work in the Sport and Education Sector.

Toulouse FC develops each week initiatives to sensibilize citizens to respect the other, destined to kids and youngsters (6-14) from 4 neighborhood clubs. This programme touch  370 kids every week. In addition, free courses are open to 600 kids and youngsters during school holidays.

To homage Philippe Séguin, the first President of the “Fondation du Football” who died in January 2010, the next Trophies awarded will be named: “Trophées Philippe Séguin de la Fondation du Football”
