Tom Bender, CEO of the Bundesliga Foundation and Chief Marketing Officer of the DFL

The Bundesliga foundation is supporting the Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe (German Sports Aid Foundation) with a special campaign.

"All 1,016 players of Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga will offer their service for a good cause and are prepared to help the Sporthilfe (German Sports Aid Foundation). Solidarity is no lip service to the Bundesliga," Tom Bender, CEO of the Bundesliga foundation and Chief Marketing Officer of the DFL (German Football League) said during the 40th Ball of Sports in Wiesbaden. "We are proud that all players of Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga provide their name for the new Sporthilfe campaign "Your name for Germany."

Magath, Hildebrand and Bender attend Ball of Sports Besides financial support there are also some TV spots and adverts planned for spring. Both will be accompanying the campaign of the Sporthilfe, which is a foundation that helps raising funds for top athletes in sports which lack financial backing.

Representing the professional football were Felix Magath (coach of FC Schalke 04), Timo Hildebrand (keeper of 1899 Hoffenheim) and Tom Bender. The trio revealed the Bundesliga's involvement at the Ball of Sports.

Everyone can join the campaign "Your name for Germany" for just three Euro a month, thus backing the professional sport in Germany. Last year the Bundesliga supported the Sporthilfe with a nationwide campaign both in TV and newspapers.
