Paolo Rossi is an Italian former football striker. In 1982, he led Italy to the 1982 FIFA World Cup title, scoring six goals to win the Golden Boot/maximo goleador honors, and the Golden Ball. Rossi is the only player to have won all three honours at a single tournament. Rossi scored a total of 20 goals in 48 caps for Italy
He made his debut in professional Italian soccer with Como, and played for different Italians Clubs, including Vicenza, Perugia, Juventus, AC Milan and Hellas Verona.

Named Italian Lega Calcio Ambassador for the EPFL / FAO “Professional Football Against Hunger” Campaign, Rossi represented the Italian League during the EPFL Field visit to TeleFood projects developed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday 14th of January.
