MatchDay Against Hunger, 20-22 March 2009
The core event of this campaign is the observance of a European football weekend against hunger, on 20-22 March 2009, with the participation of European professional football clubs that play in the Members Leagues of EPFL. The purpose of this campaign is to mobilize the civil society in the fight against hunger and poverty and to raise funds to finance fighting hunger micro-projects. The football matches played during this weekend will be dedicated to spread the message of this campaign through a series of common communication and fundraising initiatives, such as t-shirts, displays, banners, advertising flags, video/spots, messages, flyers, posters, etc.
The European Professional Football Leagues will play together, for the very first time, a common match against hunger and in favour of the most vulnerable communities and persons in the world.
