Media, Marketing and Financial experts gathered in Nyon

EPFL Standing Committees met today to discuss the business and financial side of Professional Football

EPFL Standing Committees met on the 18th of May to discuss the business and financial side of Professional Football 

Chaired by the DFL Bundesliga CEO, Christian Seifert, the  EPFL Committee on Media and Marketing focused its agenda on the development of a new concept of Leagues as knowledge leaders and on the analysis of the new challenges, trends and  key players in the media market. On the occasion, Leagues’ representatives called for greater legal protection for commercial/IP rights and sports betting integrity .

On the other hand, the Professional Football Finance Committee, chaired by Frank Rutten, CEO of the Dutch League,  discussed with UEFA the latest developments in respect of the so-called UEFA Financial Fair Play , following the suggestions and proposals made by the EPFL . A positive and constructive discussion was also carried out on possible measures related to overdue payments between clubs resulting from players' transfers transactions, as part of the  EPFL General Recommendations  on Good Financial Governance at the national level.
