Sir David Richards, Dr. Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros and Mr. Valentin Mihov
The EPFL Chairman and CEO, Sir David Richards and Dr. Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros accordingly, have sucessfully concluded a two-day official visit to Bulgaria. Invited by the President of the Bulgarian Professional Football League (PFL), Mr. Valentin Mihov, who is also member of the EPFL Board of Directors, the two EPFL chiefs have participated in a series of meetings and interviews with the local media on 24 and 25 Februray.
The journey commenced with the Bulgarian League's General Assembly at the Rodina Hall of the National Stadium "Vasil Levski", which was also attended by 38 clubs of the first and second divisions. The agenda included a comprehensive set of topics related to Bulgarian and European football, with emphasis to good financial governance, youth development, sports betting integrity safety and security in stadims, public investment on sporting infrastrutures and broadcasting rigths.
Concluding the official visit, the EPFL delegation headed by Sir David Richards met with the Minister for Sport of Bulgaria, Mr. Svilen Neykov, during which both parties addressed a number of relevant matters and agreed to strenghten cooperation in areas of common interest.
