Following the Board meeting, on the 7 October 2009, EPFL will gather its Finance Committee and Media and Marketing Committee in a joint meeting to be held at Chelsea FC Stadium. This important meeting will gather the chief financial and marketing officers of the European Leagues and will coincide with the Leaders in Football Event.
The impact of the global economic slowdown which, directly or indirectly, is affecting all economic sectors and the solutions to assist the most vulnerable Leagues and clubs in overcoming possible circumstantial adversities and attracting new business opportunities will be at the centre of the debate. During this meeting, the EPFL Report on Good Financial Governance at National Level, the UEFA Financial Fair Play concept, the promotion and protection of the Leagues and clubs commercial rights against unlawful forms of exploitation, the latest trends and new commercial opportunities for Leagues and clubs in Professional Football sponsorship, sports betting integrity and other pertinent matters will be addressed.
