Premier League brought together a working group to discuss the new edition of the competition. The draft document is different from all previous versions.
Conceptually, the new laws stand before a single code of rules to govern competition.
Preparing for the new season, staff members reviewed in detail the standards and took into account the inaccuracies and mistakes of the previous season in order to draft the current document.
The first section includes a list of technical regulations, which governs relations between the league and clubs with television companies and sponsors in the context of commercial, media matters.
The first meeting of the working group members, who represent the clubs, the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) and Ukrainian Football Union (FFU), was held in April. After identifying the main priorities of the new document, the group enlisted the working specialists separately. The subsequent working group meeting was held on Thursday, 20 May 2010, in the UPL office. The FFU was represented by the technical directo,r Konstantin Vihrov and Deputy Chairman of Professional Footbal,l Victor György. Specialists of most league clubs, alongside with other meeting participants, discussed the key provisions of the proposed Rulebook, shared their views on improving the competition, gave appropriate instructions to the administration of the UPL and agreed to meet again early next month.
The new rules of competition will be approved by the UPL General Assembly in mid-June. After the approval League the document needs to be submitted to the FFU Board.
