
Championships in some of the EPFL Member Leagues have already come to an end.
Following the title winners Rangers (Scottish Premier League), Twente (Eredivisie NL, Netherlands) and Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukrainian Premier League), three other top clubs have claimed victory at the end of another exciting football season. SL Benfica (Liga Portugal), Chelsea FC(The Premier League) and Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) have won their respective titles, guaranteeing a position in next season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) .
In Liga Portugal, SC Braga will have, for the first time, the opportunity to join Benfica in UCL , while FC Porto and Sporting SP will be playing the UEFA Europa League (UEL).
In England, Chelsea claimed its 3rd title of the decade. Manchester United (runner-up) and Arsenal will join Chelsea in UCL, together withTottenham, while Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool will participate in UEL. Burnley, Hull City and Portsmouth were relegated to the Championship.
Finally, in Bundesliga the 2009/10 title went to Bayern Munich. Schalke 04 got the other available spot to participate in UCL, while Werder Bremmen will have a chance at the play-offs. Bayern Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund were 4th and 5th in the ranking.
