Bundesliga well represented in South Africa

The Bundesliga will be very well represented at the World Cup in South Africa and not just by the players chosen for the Germany squad. There are 84 players from the Bundesliga, in total, who have accepted the challenge of representing their country at the highest level.

Well paid professionals from both of Germany's national leagues will take part in the world's elite tournament in South Africa from the 11th June until 11th July.

Alongside the superstars like FC Bayern players Arjen Robben (Holland) and Franck Ribery (France) certain Bundesliga youngsters will also be entering the mix: Neven Subotic, (Serbia), Joel Matip (Cameroon) or Elijero Elia (Holland) have as much chance of making an impression as some of the "golden oldies": Angelos Charisteas (Geece), Ricardo Osorio (Mexico) and Hans Sarpei (Ghana).

The Leverkusen player is aware that the experience he brings from the Bundesliga can be useful during his time with the Cameroon team. "The German mentality has been ground into me during my time in the country. For me, strength and discipline are the most important factors in football", stated the Sarpei.
