Bundesliga ON EAR – Radio in the Stadium for blind and visually handycapped football-fans!

Bundesliga - ON EAR logoWith the beginning of the football-year 2010 the Austrian Bundesliga started a new and very special service: Bundesliga ON EAR – the stadium-radio for blind and visually handicapped football-fans!

Main function of Bundesliga ON EAR is, to offer a radio-commentary from especially skilled reporters inside the stadiums which can be received by radios or radio-combatible mobile phones (with headsets). So this service can be used by all the supporters during a game.

In addition the games will be streamed on the Bundesliga-Webpage (www.bundesliga.at/on_ear) so that blinds and visually handicapped supporters can get the life-experience by this special audio-describtion even at home.

“With Bundesliga ON EAR we want to make stadium-attendance also for people possible and exiting, who did not had the chance to do so in the past”, says Bundesliga-Executive Georg Pangl.

At the moment the four austrian top-teams of the tipp3-Bundesliga powered by T-Mobile - Red Bull Salzburg, Rapid Wien, Austria Wien and Puntigamer Sturm Graz – take part in this project.
But the previous response is excellent, so that the Bundesliga is thinking about to enlarge this project on all the teams of the first league.
