Since 1996, the Austrian Bundesliga initiated a course where the training of qualified executives in the sport’s industry is guaranteed. The focus is directed not only to former elite athletes (Peter Schöttel, Roland Goriupp, Christian Stumpf, have graduated), but to all who are interested in the field of sports management and research activities.
Schopp and Kitzbichler successfully completed
As of May 2010, eleven participants, concluded with success the seventh Programme of the Sports Management Academy of the Austrian Bundesliga and now have a practical training in areas like team management, communication, presentation, marketing, sports and law. Former Professional players Markus Schopp and Richard Kitzbichler are among the graduates.
