Iain Blair, Company Secretary, said: “We are aware that this means that some clubs will have a heavy January schedule but our aim has to be to get these games played sooner rather than later.
“It is entirely possible that we could face another very cold spell in February and any more postponements could create a build up that would make it impossible for us to slot in all the games before the split.”
It should also be pointed out that 12/13 and 19/20 January are set aside as potential Scottish Cup Round 4 postponement/replay dates. In the event that any of the clubs involved are required to play a Scottish Cup Round 4 fixture on these dates then the relevant Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixture will be re-arranged for an alternative date.
Iain Blair added: “We have made it clear to the Scottish FA and our clubs that the Active Nation Scottish Cup ties in which they may be involved will take priority over our matches in the event of postponements or replays in the 4th Round.”
