EPFL vs UEFA Friendly Football Match
The EPFL General Assembly, held in Nyon on 11 March 2010 have been preceded, on the previous day, by an EPFL vs UEFA friendly football match, which took place at the Stade Colovray Blades, in Nyon, to celebrate the inauguration of the Association's renovated Headquarters. The Event, that counted with the participation of the EPFL Chairman Sir David Richards, UEFA President Michel Platini, as well as Leagues' executives and representatives, marks a new era in the Association's history to further strengthen and enhance the relations among its Member Leagues and the Football family.
To mark this special occasion, UEFA's President Mr. Michel Platini, alongside with EPFL's Chairman Sir David Richards, symbolically kicked off the match between both Associations. On the occasion, during the official dinner, Mr. Michel Platini was also awarded by the EPFL Members for its work towards the enhancement of Professional Football in Europe.
