FIFA, the world football’s governing body, has appointed several EPFL representatives to a number of its Standing Committees for the current four-year cycle (2011-15).
The representation of the European Leagues in the FIFA’s decision-making bodies and processes will be as follows:
- FIFA STRATEGIC COMMITTEE
Sir David RICHARDS (EPFL Chairman/ Premier League Chairman) - FIFA COMMITTEE OF CLUB FOOTBALL
Frédéric THIRIEZ (EPFL Deputy Chairman/ President of the French League)
Emanuel MACEDO DE MEDEIROS (EPFL CEO) - FIFA FOOTBALL COMMITTEE
Richard SCUDAMORE (Premier League CEO)
In addition to that, the EPFL shall be represented by José Luis Astiazarán (EPFL Board member and President of the Spanish League) in the Independent Governance Committee, an independent body in charge of reviewing the reform process of FIFA’s governance structures and processes.
Finally, other EPFL representatives, who had been previously appointed, will continue carrying out their respective mandates in the following FIFA bodies:

Thomas GRIMM (EPFL Board Member/ President of Swiss League – mandates ceased in December 2011)
