Board meeting held 10/05/2010 in Nyon
The Board of Directors of the EPFL has addressed a number of vital issues for the future of professional football in Europe. The discussions were held at a meeting held this morning at the Association's headquarters in Nyon.
Chaired by Sir David Richards, the Board addressed a series of impacting matters, where the Leagues hold special and legitimate interests, such as the improvement of the current International Match Calendar, re-distribution of revenues and financial solidarity at European level or FIFA's regulatory reform on players' agents.
On the the other hand, the Board has received a complete report on the latest initiatives developed by the EPFL. Sports betting integrity, protection of the leagues' copyrights and youth development were some of the initiatives under the spot light.
