DFL supports Kids Club Action Week

The DFL (German Football League) has supported the Action Week being staged by various Bundesliga Kids Clubs.

The childcare facilities of numerous Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga clubs were working under the motto of "Always Active" in the week between Matchdays 26 and 27 (12-22 March) as they aimed to raise awareness of the sporting and social work undertaken by the so-called Kids Clubs.

"Through their child care facilities both inside and outside the stadium, the 21 Kids Clubs with their
60,000 members are doing some important educational work," said DFL COO Holger Hieronymus.

"The DFL has been organising special events where Kids Clubs can come together and exchange ideas, network and work on new projects for four years now."

Around 1,000 children took part in the nationwide 'Action Week', consisting of numerous regional events. There were banners, T-shirts and flags in all the stadiums of professional clubs to promote the Kids Clubs and raise public awareness of the scheme among the fans of tomorrow.
